BILTWELL
Biltwell builds the bits you touch — bars, grips, levers, mirrors, pegs. Plain shapes, honest materials, no graphics nonsense. The grips have a waffle pattern that works wet or dry and don't go gummy in the sun. Bars take a hit and stay where you set them. Cockpit gear for riders who'd rather have one good part than three flashy ones. Filter below by part type or price.

BILTWELL — frequently asked questions
Common questions, straight answers. No fluff.
- Yes on the clutch side, 22mm slips straight on. Throttle side depends on the tube. Biltwell grips are sized for a 22mm closed-end housing or a matching open-end throttle tube. If your bike runs the common 7/8 cable throttle, you're fine. Ride-by-wire bikes need a model-specific tube and these grips won't seat correctly on a sealed e-throttle assembly.
- The 4130 chromoly bars hold up. Steel flexes differently to 7075 alloy, soaking up high-frequency buzz that wears your hands down on long days. The trade-off is weight and a slightly softer feel under hard landings. Check rise and pullback against your current bar before ordering. Steel bars also bend before they snap, which some riders prefer in rocks.
- Grip glue on clean bars, or safety wire through the flange grooves. Wipe the bar down with contact cleaner first. Any oil residue and the glue won't key.
- Soft wears quicker but kills arm pump. Hard lasts twice as long and shrugs off rock strikes. Most trail riders run soft on the throttle side and accept replacing them every few months.
- Not directly. A 28.6mm top clamp won't grip a 22mm bar. You need either a shimmed conversion clamp or a complete swap to 7/8 clamps. Most aftermarket triple clamps offer both options. While you're at it, check cable and brake-line length for the new bar height and pullback. A higher rise often pulls the front brake banjo tight on full lock.
- Cable-throttle EFI bikes, yes. Ride-by-wire, no. The tube has to match your throttle cam profile and housing, so cross-reference the part number against your model year before fitting.
