HOT CAMS
Hot Cams covers camshaft changes and valve-clearance work on motocross and enduro engines. Our range includes intake, exhaust and single camshafts, cam chains, assorted valve shim kits and five-piece shim refills. For a camshaft, check the application, position and stage before choosing. For shims, start with the diameter your engine uses and the thickness required for the job. The separate refill packs are useful when you need one listed thickness rather than an assorted kit.

HOT CAMS — frequently asked questions
Common questions, straight answers. No fluff.
- Hot Cams describes Stage 1 as aimed at low-end torque, Stage 2 at the mid to top end and Stage 3 at peak top-end horsepower. Check the specific cam application and requirements; those descriptions do not mean every stage is offered for every bike.
- Do not assume so. Our range distinguishes intake, exhaust and single camshaft listings. Check the stated position and quantity of the exact part before ordering.
- The stocked assorted kits include 7.48 mm, 9.48 mm, 8.9 mm and 10 mm diameters. Select the diameter specified for your engine, then check the thicknesses covered by the kit.
- A refill pack contains five shims of the stated diameter and thickness, rather than an assortment of thicknesses. For example, a listing marked 7.48 x 1.20 refers to a 7.48 mm diameter and 1.20 mm thickness.
- Hot Cams describes its cams as using stock valve springs unless otherwise noted. Read the requirements for the exact cam and engine before ordering; the exception matters.
- Use the chain application and part reference as well as its stated link count. Our listings include several lengths, from 110 to 128 links, so compare the exact replacement specified for your engine.
