TECNOSEL
Tecnosel covers the seat and graphics side of the workshop. Gripper covers in pleated and ribbed patterns, foam in standard and tall heights, full graphics kits and number-plate backgrounds cut to model-specific templates. The cover material holds its texture through fuel, brake cleaner and sun. Stitched seams sit clear of the rider's contact patch. Fitment is per make and model year — pick yours in the filters and the range narrows to what bolts to your seat base.

TECNOSEL — frequently asked questions
Common questions, straight answers. No fluff.
- Most patterns focus on classic and evo machines from the eighties and nineties. Check the specific year and displacement listed for your bike. These are precision-cut to match the original seat base dimensions of that era.
- Replacement foam is manufactured to match the original factory specification for firmness and height. If your current seat feels soft or has collapsed, new foam provides the necessary support for aggressive cornering and jump landings. Ensure your seat base is clean and free of old adhesive before fitting. The density is designed to resist water absorption and maintain its shape over several seasons of heavy use. This is essential for maintaining the correct riding position and bike control during long motos.
- Remove the old cover and any damaged foam before starting the installation. Fitting over existing material adds unnecessary bulk and prevents the staples from seating correctly in the plastic base. A clean surface ensures the new cover stretches evenly across the foam without bunching or creating uncomfortable pressure points.
- The heavy-duty vinyl is engineered to withstand the constant friction from plastic knee guards and braces. It provides a high-grip surface that keeps you locked in position under heavy acceleration. The reinforced seams prevent tearing at high-stress points.
- Inspect the plastic seat base for cracks or warped edges that might affect the final fit. Check that the staple-retaining lip is intact and not brittle from age. If the base is damaged, the cover will not tension correctly and may pull loose during a race. You should also verify that all mounting brackets and rubber bungs are present. A solid foundation is the only way to achieve a factory-level finish that stays tight. Any imperfections in the base will show through the new material.
- The textured surface is designed to provide consistent traction even when coated in mud or water. It prevents the rider from sliding back on the seat during steep climbs or when powering out of corners. The material is non-porous to stop water from soaking into the foam core and adding weight.
