The Welsh MX scene runs across Powys and the Mid Wales hills — race calendar uses Dave Thorpe Honda Off Road Centre near Builth Wells and Monster Mountain near Newtown. Both are loam, both go from grippy to greasy depending on the week’s weather, both reward riders who can handle gradient.
ACU-affiliated, with MX and enduro disciplines plus youth. Race meetings, training days, and enduro rounds are listed via the FB group.
Welsh hill weather wears engines and brakes hard. Top-end stock, fork seals through the wet months, and chain/sprocket sets are the core consumables.
