The SC 490 is open-class two-stroke territory. Big-bore reciprocating mass, hard hits, short service windows. Reed petals fatigue fast under wide-open loads — check them every few rides and keep a spare set on the bench. Exhaust gaskets weep once the pipe's been on and off a few times; replace, don't reseat. Airbox seal is the one to watch on long loops — a dusty intake will score the bore before the top-end clock runs out. Stick to a strict top-end schedule.
