What it is

Steering stem bearings take a kicking. Braking bumps, rut exits, the front end loading and unloading every lap — it all goes through the head tube. Once they pit or notch, you'll feel it as a vague centre or a click on tip-in. The kit drops straight into the EC 125, EC 200, Racing and Sixdays heads, seals included. Pack the races properly, mind the seal lips when you press them home, and torque the stem nut to spec so the bars fall through their own weight with no notch. Do it once, do it right, and the bike turns where you point it.
