The bearings and seals inside your hub. Spin the wheel, they spin. Dirt, sand and pressure washers kill them. Once a seal goes, grit gets into the race and you feel it — lateral play at the rim, or a notchy turn when the wheel's off the bike. This kit puts that right. Fitting: never hit the inner race. Drive on the outer with a proper bearing driver or a socket sized to the outer diameter. Clean the hub bore, light smear of grease, press the new ones square.
