What it is
The HOT RODS SEAL OUTPUT SHAFT, gaskets & seals. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
Located behind the drive sprocket, this seal prevents transmission fluid from escaping the engine cases. It is exposed to the harshest conditions, including mud, sand, and water. A failing seal will cause oil to weep down the back of the engine, potentially reaching the rear tyre. This part is a direct replacement for the OEM seal on your bike. Ensure the shaft spacer is in good condition before fitting, as a grooved spacer will quickly ruin a new seal. This is a standard replacement part for any serious off-road service or rebuild.
