What it is

The HOT RODS SEAL OUTPUT SHAFT, gaskets & seals. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The countershaft seal is a high-wear item subjected to constant chain pull and abrasive grit. You will usually spot a failure when oil starts weeping behind the front sprocket. This replacement restores the seal around the output shaft to prevent gearbox oil loss. It is a model-specific fitment designed to withstand high rotational speeds and thermal expansion. Check the spacer for grooving when you pull the old seal. If the spacer is notched, the new seal will fail prematurely. Press the new unit in square to ensure a proper seat.
