This solenoid acts as the high-current relay between your battery and the starter motor. It is usually located near the battery box or subframe. If your bike clicks but won't crank, the internal contacts have likely burnt out or corroded. This unit is a direct replacement for the original electrical switch. Ensure all terminal nuts are torqued correctly to prevent arcing. It is a common failure point on bikes used in wet, muddy conditions where moisture penetrates the casing.
