What it is

This chain synchronises the crankshaft with the camshafts. It sits inside the engine tunnel and is subject to constant tension. Over time, the links stretch beyond the reach of the automatic tensioner. A stretched chain causes retarded valve timing and poor throttle response. In extreme cases, it can jump teeth and cause valve-to-piston contact. This 96-link chain is a direct replacement for OEM part 14401-KSE-671. Replace it during your scheduled top-end service to maintain precise engine timing and prevent internal damage.
