This component is the primary interface between your engine and the gearbox. It sits on the main shaft and contains the drive plates. Small-bore engines require frequent lever feathering, which accelerates wear on the housing fingers. Once notched, the plates hang up and cause the bike to creep while the lever is pulled. This machined alloy version is designed to resist this indentation. Installation involves swapping over the primary gear. Ensure all spacers and thrust washers are returned to their factory positions during the rebuild.
