This unit replaces the stock housing to eliminate drag and improve shift accuracy. It sits on the primary drive side of your engine. Standard cast parts develop grooves where the friction plate tabs sit. These notches prevent the plates from sliding freely. This machined alloy version provides a harder wearing surface. It cross-references with OEM part 21200-28H00. You must remove the rivets from your original primary gear to complete the installation. Ideal for MX use where engagement is frequent and heat build-up is high.
