§ 02 / About this part
What it is
ProX replacement clutch cable to fit the Honda CR80R, model years 1980–1995, and Honda CR85R, model years 2003–2007.
ProX cut this clutch cable to the OEM length for the Honda CR 80 R and CR 85 R, so the inner wire sits at the right tension with no slack to take up. The inner strands carry every lever pull, and grit working past the seals is what kills them. You feel it as a heavier, vaguer bite point before a strand finally lets go. Route it down the original path and keep it clear of the header. Set the free play at the perch, ride the cheap insurance, and replace before a snapped cable strands you mid-moto.
