A clutch cable is a wear item. The inner wire stretches and the outer housing packs down with mud and heat cycles, and the lever pull goes heavy and vague. This ProX cable matches the stock length and end fittings for the Honda XR 400 R, so it drops straight in. Route it on the original path through the frame and away from the header. Check the wire runs free as the bars sweep lock to lock, grease the pivots, then set free-play at the perch with the engine warm. Done properly it holds adjustment through a full service interval.
