This clutch cable connects the lever to the actuator arm on the engine cases. On a four-stroke the clutch takes a beating, and a tired cable with a worn liner adds drag and dulls the bite point right when you need it. Cut to fit the Yamaha WR 450 F and YZ 450 FX, so it follows the standard bar route and clamps up without slack to chafe. Mind the header on the way down, set a few millimetres of free play, and check it runs smooth at full lock. A clean cable keeps the lever light through long enduro days and motos alike.
