What it is

The PROX CLUTCH PLATE FRICTION SET, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This friction plate set is a direct replacement for worn OEM clutch components. Friction plates sit between the steel drive plates and transfer power from the crank to the gearbox. Replace these when you experience clutch slip under load or if the plates show signs of glazing and heat discolouration. Always soak new friction plates in fresh gearbox oil for at least two hours before installation. This prevents burning the material on the first start-up. Check your steel plates for warping whenever you replace the friction set.
