Friction plates are the core of your bike's drive engagement. They sit inside the clutch basket, alternating with steel plates. Over time, the friction material wears down or glazes from heat, causing the clutch to slip under load. This set replaces your worn OEM stack to restore bite and power transfer. Always soak new friction plates in fresh gear oil for at least two hours before installation. This prevents burning the material on the first start. Check your basket for notch wear while the side case is off to ensure smooth plate movement.
