This cast aluminium plate sits at the outer edge of the clutch basket. It provides the flat surface needed for the springs to clamp the pack. Heavy use on a KX250 can cause the pillars to fatigue or the face to groove. Replacing this part restores crisp engagement and prevents the clutch from dragging. It fits directly into the stock clutch assembly without modification. Inspect your steel plates for bluing while the pressure plate is removed. Use a torque wrench on the spring bolts to avoid damaging the aluminium pillars. Maintain your service intervals for optimal performance.
