Heat cycles eventually cause springs to sack out and lose their free length. Weak springs lead to premature friction plate wear and power loss. Replace these every time you install new plates on your CR or CRF. Ensure you tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern to avoid binding. These are essential for any transmission rebuild.
