What it is

ProX countershaft seal kit to fit Yamaha WR250 (1991–1997); Yamaha WR250Z (1991–1997); Yamaha YZ250 (1978–1998); Yamaha YZ250WR (1989–1990).

This kit provides everything needed to stop oil leaks behind the front sprocket. It contains the oil seal, O-ring, and the hardened bush that sits on the output shaft. Constant exposure to chain grime and pressure from the drive system eventually scores the bush and degrades the seal. A failing countershaft seal can lead to rapid oil loss and potential gearbox failure. This is a direct replacement for the factory components. Clean the countershaft thoroughly before sliding the new bush into place to ensure a proper seat.
