This titanium intake valve is designed for high-RPM performance and rapid throttle response. It sits in the cylinder head, allowing the engine to breathe. The low mass of titanium reduces valve float at the rev limit. These are typically found in modern MX bikes and require precise maintenance. Titanium valves feature a special coating that must not be lapped. If the coating wears through, the valve will cup quickly and lose seal. Replace these if the clearances are tightening up rapidly. Use these for a race-spec top-end rebuild to maintain factory performance levels.
