This titanium exhaust valve is designed for high-performance four-stroke engines where weight reduction is vital. It sits in the top-end and manages the exit of hot combustion gases at high RPM. Titanium valves are consumables that eventually lose their hard coating, leading to rapid clearance changes. Replace these when you can no longer shim the bike into spec. Ensure your valve seats are cut correctly before installation. Never lap titanium valves as it will destroy the protective surface layer and lead to premature failure.
