This titanium intake valve is designed for high-performance four-stroke engines where weight is critical. It sits in the top-end and allows for rapid valve opening and closing without the risk of float. Titanium valves are consumables that eventually lose their hard coating, leading to rapid clearance changes. Replace these when you can no longer shim the bike into spec. Ensure your valve seats are cut correctly before installation. Never lap titanium valves as it will destroy the protective surface layer.
