Choosing a B-size piston helps maintain the correct piston-to-wall clearance as the cylinder ages. Regular replacement prevents piston slap and maintains high compression. Check your bore for taper and out-of-roundness before fitting. Ensure the rings are oriented correctly and the circlip gaps do not align with the removal notches. Lubricate the assembly with clean two-stroke oil during the rebuild of your bike.
