What it is

The PROX PISTON KIT ALUMINUM 53.97MM C, top end. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This is the C-grade version for the KX 125: 53.97mm, one hundredth up from the B piston, for a barrel further into its service life. That small step matters on a plated two-stroke cylinder, where the difference between quiet running and piston slap is measured in hundredths. Kit carries the piston, ring set, gudgeon pin and clips. Gauge the bore before ordering; fitting a C piston to a fresh barrel makes it tight, fitting it late keeps a worn one alive. Crown arrow to the exhaust port, gap the rings, and it runs like it should.
