What it is

The PROX THROTTLE CABLE YZ125 -21, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A single throttle cable for the carburettor-fed YZ 125 and YZ 250 two-strokes through 2021. The inner liner picks up grit and wears, so the pull goes stiff and the slide drags on return. This is a direct OEM cross-reference, cut to the right length with the correct barrel ends, so it drops into the factory routing behind the number plate and under the tank. Set the bar adjuster to leave a touch of freeplay. Cheap insurance against a slide that hangs open mid-corner.
