What it is
The SHOWA DUST SEAL 43x54.5x15, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
Showa dust seal sized for the 43mm fork tube. The outer scraper that keeps grit, road salt and track muck off the slider before it ever reaches the oil seal underneath. Pairs with the 43x54x11 oil seal on the same leg. Fit them together. Once the fork's stripped, dropped out the clamps and the cartridge is on the bench, swapping the dust seal on its own is false economy. You're ten minutes from doing the oil seal too, and a fresh wiper riding against a tired oil seal just shortens the new one's life. Pull both, clean the bushings, check the tube for pitting, rebuild once. Fits a long list of big-bore Honda road forks running the 43mm leg.
