Pull a Showa cartridge apart on your CRF and you'll find O-rings doing the quiet work of sealing oil between the chambers so damping stays consistent shot after shot. This is the chunkier one. The 3.5mm cross-section sits a different sealing duty than the slim 2mm rings further down the cartridge, holding pressure across a wider land where the thinner siblings would extrude or weep. Fits the Honda CRF 250 R, 250 RX, 450 R, 450 RWE and 450 RX, plus the Kawasaki MX cartridge platforms that share Showa internals. Replace it any time you've split the cartridge for a fork service or a blown seal, and never reuse one that's been compressed. Cheap part, but the wrong one will make a fresh service feel like a tired one by the third moto.
