Cracking a Showa cartridge open and finding the packing chewed up is a job you only want to do once. This is the B-spec variant. Showa runs different packing suffixes for different cartridge builds, so check your parts diagram before you order. Get the wrong suffix and it either won't seat or it'll pass oil past the piston band, and you're back in there next weekend. It sits inside the cartridge doing the donkey work on the damping circuit, taking the hits every time the fork strokes. If yours is glazed, swollen, or scored, bin it. Fits the CRF 250, CRF 250 R, CRF 250 RX, CRF 450 L and CRF 450 R Showa forks. Match the B suffix to your diagram and you're sorted.
