Rod End B sits inside the Showa cartridge on the CRF 450 fork, bolting the damping rod to the lower lug. Pull it during a full strip. Look at the threads under a loupe. Hairline cracks, galled flanks, any sign of stretch and it goes in the bin. A failure here lets the damping rod walk loose mid-stroke, and the cartridge eats itself before you've cleared the next rhythm. Specific to Showa internals on the 450 chassis. Clean it in fresh solvent, blow it dry, and torque it back with the thread locker the manual calls for.
