Showa internal cartridge spring, 100mm length, 6N/mm rate, B-spec. Lives inside the cartridge stack, not over the damper rod, so it sets the cartridge's internal preload and shapes the first portion of damping force before the main fork spring takes over. Wrong rate here and the shim stack lies to you. Fits late-model Showa A-Kit and production cartridge forks on CRF 250 R, CRF 450 R / RX / X / RWE / L, KX 450 / 450 X and RM-Z 450. Spec part — replace like-for-like during a full service, or step rate only with a known re-valve.
