Cheek pads are a wear item on a youth lid. Once the foam compresses, the helmet starts to shift on rough ground and that movement costs the rider control. These are the small-size pads for the Thor youth shell. They snap straight into the EPS recess, no glue, no fuss. If your young rider's helmet rocks or lifts under braking, the pads have done their time. Swap them and the fit comes back. Wash them now and again so sweat salt doesn't break down the foam and lining.
