What it is

The TWIN AIR OIL FILTER CAP ALUMINUM, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This billet aluminium cap replaces the OEM oil filter cover on the Kawasaki KX 450 F. It sits on the side of the casing and works as a heat sink, drawing warmth off the oil that the standard part holds in. Fitting is a straight swap on the original bolts, so check the seal seats clean and torque to Kawasaki's spec. The metal shell takes impact and repeated heat cycles where the factory cover eventually gives. Worth fitting on a 450 four-stroke that spends its day pinned in deep sand or a long hard-enduro lap.
