What it is

The TWIN AIR OIL FILTER CAP ALUMINUM, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Billet replacement for the cast oil filter cap on the YZ 250 F, 250 FX and 450 F. It threads into the engine casing and traps the filter element. The machined cooling fins pull heat out of the oil circuit by adding surface area. CNC aluminium shrugs off the cracking that catches out the soft factory casting when a spanner gets heavy on the oil change. Move the rubber O-ring across, or fit a fresh one, and torque to the workshop figure. A clean direct swap at your next service interval.
