This C-size kit is the preferred choice for high-hour 450 engines where the bore has worn beyond the initial A or B tolerances. It restores the critical clearance required for efficient operation and cooling in the top-end. Neglecting this service interval can lead to the piston slapping against the cylinder wall, causing permanent damage. Use a feeler gauge to check the ring end gap before fitting. This kit comes complete with rings, gudgeon pin, and circlips. Ensure the cylinder is clean and free of carbon deposits before beginning the rebuild.
