What it is

The ATHENA FORK OIL SEAL KIT MGR-RSD2 43x54x9,5/10,5, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

These seals are housed in the lower end of the outer fork tubes to seal the damping oil. They are a direct replacement for Honda OEM part 51490ML3305. Leaking seals are often caused by dried mud being forced past the dust wipers during the fork stroke. This kit restores the factory seal and ensures your forks maintain their damping characteristics. During the rebuild, check that the stanchions are perfectly straight. Any misalignment will put uneven pressure on the seal lip, causing premature failure. Use a high-quality fork oil to the manufacturer's recommended volume.
