These 40mm oil seals are critical for keeping your suspension fluid contained within the fork tubes. They sit in the lower leg and provide the pressure seal against the stanchion. If your bike is leaving oil rings on the fork legs, these seals have likely failed due to wear or debris. This fitment is common on various enduro and trail bikes. Always inspect the stanchions for stone chips or pitting before fitting new seals. Use a seal bullet to protect the rubber lips when sliding them over the fork tube ends.
