What it is

Forged, not cast, so it shrugs off detonation and heat cycling that would crack a standard slug. The 66.34mm size covers the KTM 250 SX, EXC and XC-W family plus Husqvarna TC and TE 250s and the Gas Gas MC 250, with carb, TPI and TBI generations in the fitment list. A 250 two-stroke top end is a routine job; a forged piston stretches the interval and holds tolerance under abuse. Piston, rings, pin and circlips included. Confirm bore size and gap the rings first, and run Athena's clearance figures, not the OEM manual's.
