These rings are critical consumables for maintaining top-end compression. They sit in the piston grooves, sealing the combustion chamber against the cylinder wall. Over time, heat and friction reduce ring tension, leading to blow-by and power loss. Replacing rings at mid-service intervals can extend the life of your piston and cylinder. Ensure the bore is deglazed before fitting to allow the new rings to bed in correctly. Check the end gap against OEM specifications in your workshop manual. This set is designed specifically for forged pistons.
