Small-bore two-strokes eat rear bearings. The 80/85 class hammers the hub on every hard landing, and the seals on an RM85 or YZ85 sit close enough to the chain pull that grit works past them quicker than you'd think. Spin the wheel off the stand. If you feel a notch at the rim or hear a dry whisper from the hub, the balls are already brinelled. Press the new races in with a driver that bears on the outer only, seat the seals flush, and pack the cavity with waterproof grease before you refit the spacer.
