What it is

The BLACKBIRD RACING DOUBLE GRIP 3 SEAT COVER YELLOW/BLACK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The RM-Z 450 puts out enough torque to slide a rider rearwards off a tired, polished seat. Blackbird's answer is a two-texture cover: a raised grip pattern on top to keep you forward over the tank, smoother reinforced flanks where your knees clamp the bike. This yellow/black version is shaped to the RM-Z 450 seat base, so it stretches on cleanly and staples to the standard pan. Sound foam underneath matters more than the cover itself; replace both if the base has gone soft or waterlogged.
