BLACKBIRD RACING
Blackbird Racing make the kit you sit on and grip with. Seat covers with grip-zone panels that hold the rider through ruts and braking bumps. Graphics kits printed on heavy gauge film, laminated to take pressure-washer abuse and fuel splash without lifting at the edges. Pleated, ribbed and full-grip seat options to suit how aggressive the rider is on the bike. Filter by category to find the fitment for your bike.

Refine your fitment →BLACKBIRD RACING — frequently asked questions
Common questions, straight answers. No fluff.
- Thick enough to survive boot rub and knee brace contact through a season of hard riding. The film stays pliable so it wraps shroud curves and radiator scoops without lifting at the edges.
- Yes, the covers are cut to OEM foam dimensions for the specific model listed. Aftermarket tall foam or a stepped profile will need the vinyl stretched harder during fit. Staple from the nose and tail first, work the sides last, and keep the ribs or grip panels square to the seat base. A hairdryer on low softens the vinyl over tight corners and stops the front lip puckering. Use a heavy-duty gun and 8mm staples into the plastic pan.
- Full kits cover shrouds, front and rear fenders, airbox, fork guards and swingarm. Shroud-only and trim kits are listed separately. Check the contents block on the product page before ordering.
- Degrease the plastic, dry it fully, and work in a warm room. Lay the decal from one edge and squeegee air outward in short strokes. Keep fingers off the adhesive.
- The vinyl and pigments are formulated for long sun exposure without fading or hairline cracking. That matters for bikes that live in vans, on trailers, or in open paddocks between rounds. The material stays flexible in cold weather too, so the cover does not split the first time you case a jump and land hard on the seat. Wipe it down with mild soap and the grip pattern keeps its bite for the life of the foam.
- Yes. Fresh plastic carries a mould-release wax that kills adhesion. Scuff lightly with a red Scotch-Brite pad, wipe with contact cleaner, and let it flash off before laying the graphic.
