What it is

The BLACKBIRD RACING PYRAMID SEAT COVER BLUE, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Same Pyramid grip in blue, cut for the Yamaha YZ 125, YZ 250, YZ 250 F, 400 F and 426 F seat base. The texture stops you sliding around when the track gets rough, so braking and corner exits feel controlled rather than greasy. It wraps your stock foam directly. Pull the worn cover, staple the nose and tail first to pull the material taut, then tidy the sides. A heavy-duty stapler makes the job clean. Once the surface polishes smooth or splits, change it before water gets into the foam and ruins the seat.
