What it is

The BLACKBIRD RACING SEATCOVER ZEBRA YZF 450 2, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Zebra print on top, standard Blackbird construction underneath: high-grip textured vinyl cut for the YZ 450 F seat base. The graphic is loud, but the reason to fit one is the same as any replacement cover. A stock skin polishes smooth after a season of boot and brace contact, and once it tears, mud and wash water start rotting the foam. Stretch the cover over the base warm and staple in stages, checking the stripes stay square as you go. A striped pattern shows a crooked fit faster than a plain one.
