This tapered pad is shaped to fit oversized 1-1/8 inch bars that do not use a crossbar. It covers the bar mounts and the centre of the bar to prevent injury during a forward pitch. The foam is dense enough to absorb significant energy. Replace it when the outer skin becomes brittle or the foam loses its density. It is essential for race-day scrutineering on many UK tracks. The tapered profile ensures it does not interfere with your line of sight to the front mudguard.
