This causes hard starting and a boggy bottom end. These units offer a direct swap for your OEM setup. They maintain a consistent seal against the cage for crisp throttle response. Inspect your intake during every top-end rebuild. If you see light through the cage or frayed tips, replace them immediately to prevent engine damage.
