What it is

The CYCRA SPEED ARMOR SKID PLATE YAMAHA BLACK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Speed Armor is Cycra's slim-line skid plate, built for the YZ 250 F and YZ 450 F. It covers the lower frame rails and engine cases against roost and rock strikes without the dead weight of a full alloy bashguard. Composite shell, not aluminium, so it flexes with the chassis instead of fighting it. Bolts to the OEM mounts with the hardware supplied. Sits tight to the cases to shed mud rather than trap it. The black finish keeps it discreet. The right plate for MX and faster trail riding where you want protection but not the heft.
