Lightweight, it bolts straight to the bars, so you skip the weight of an alloy spine. That suits MX and lighter trail riding where deflection matters more than taking a square tree hit. The shield shrouds your master cylinders and lever pivots from flung stones. Clip a branch and the plastic kicks the impact away from your fingers.
