These cork-based friction plates are essential for maintaining drive on your bike. They sit inside the clutch basket and engage with the steel plates to transfer power. Over time, heat and friction wear down the cork material, leading to clutch slip. This is common after hard enduro sessions or heavy race use. When installing these, you must soak the plates in fresh engine oil for at least four hours. This prevents burning on the first start. Check your steel plates for warping while the basket is open. These are a direct OEM replacement for a standard feel.
